The Royal Highland Centre is located next to Edinburgh Airport, within minutes of the M8 and M9, and within easy reach of the city centre. The RHC sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout, one of the main routes to the city. Access to the Royal Highland Centre is from A8/Airport roundabout on to Eastfield Road. From there, signposts provide directions to the venue along Fairview Road onto Ingliston Road.
The Tram stop nearest the Royal Highland Centre is Ingliston Park & Ride and is approximately a 20 – 25 minute walk to the RHC. For further information about planning your journey visit the Tram Journey Planner.

The Royal Highland Centre is situated adjacent to Edinburgh Airport.
Over 180 flights connect Edinburgh to the rest of the UK and Europe each day and the Royal Highland Centre is just a ten-minute walk from the airport travelling along Fairview Road.
If you are driving to the festival ample free parking is available.
There will be several bars onsite offering a wide variety of alcoholic and soft drinks. Please note that like many festival EH1 Festival will be operating on a token only basis, i.e. no cash. Tokens can be purchased with cash or card. We will be operating a Challenge 25 policy on all our bars so please ensure you have the following photographic ID: passport or drivers license.
Where to stay
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel is an award winning hotel located at the North Gate of the Royal Highland Centre.
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel is located on Eastfield Road next to Edinburgh Airport and a ten minute walk to the Royal Highland Centre.
The Edinburgh Marriott Hotel is located a 5 minute drive from the Royal Highland Centre along the A8 on Glasgow Road.
The Norton House Hotel & Spa, is an award winning 4 red star hotel and is a 2 minute drive opposite the Royal Highland Centre.
We will have a selection of local vendors on site selling a variety of food. Food can be paid for with cash (we cannot guarantee that all vendors will be accepting card payments).
Are tickets refundable / transferable?
Tickets are strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Can I bring in my own food and drink?
You cannot bring in your own food and drink. Food and drink can be purchases from the bars and vendors onsite.
What items are prohibited?
Any items that could be considered to be a weapon
Flares / fireworks
Anyone found to be in the possession of drugs, legal highs or weapons will be immediately handed over to the onsite police.
Will my bag be searched?
All bags will be subject to a search on entry to the festival.
Are there cash machines on site?
There are no cash machines on site. You can pay for tokens by using your card, vendors accept card payments but we cannot guarantee this.
What ID do you accept?
We will be operating a Challenge 25 policy on entry to the festival and on all bars, please ensure you bring a passport or drivers license with you to the festival.
Will there be free drinking water available?
Free drinking water will be available throughout the site.
Can I exit the event and return?
Due to licensing restrictions passouts are not permitted.
